About the Machine
Micron Automech’s Acrylic Solvent Adhesive Coating Machine uses a precision comma-roll (knife-over-roll) or reverse-roll coating head to apply solvent-based acrylic adhesive onto flexible substrates. The machine is widely used to manufacture a range of self-adhesive tapes, specialty industrial tapes, and double-sided products where solvent-base acrylic adhesive is specified for performance.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
How the Machine Works
The coating system consists of an unwinder, adhesive trough with comma-roll coater, multi-zone hot-air drying oven with solvent exhaust, cooling section, and precision surface rewinder. The comma roll gap is precisely adjustable via a micrometer mechanism to control coat weight with ±1 gsm accuracy.
